  The Match Games final mini of the year was held at Holiday Lanes in Lansing. Joe qualified 16th and finished 5th losing to eventual winner Jason Rasinske. Mike Sump II was high qualifier with a pinfall of 1238 to average 247 through the 5 game block and Chad Curry had a 299 for high game.

Jason Rasinske , the 8th qualifier, won matches with Steve McCuaig 242 – 224, Joe Manor 255 – 233, Tony Green 213-209 before meeting Mark Abraham in the finals shooting a 235 – 223 for the victory.
